Nottingham Forest vs Man Utd betting tips

Reaching the business end of the season, these two are in desperate need of three points for two completely different reasons.

Nottingham Forest's Premier League future is in serious doubt as they sit in the relegation spots heading into the weekend.

They're currently there on goal difference but that picture could look different with some of their relegation rivals playing a day earlier.

It's not been an easy time for Steve Cooper, to put it lightly. With continued speculation over his future, a new sporting director appointed this week and reports of club chiefs sounding out other managerial possibilities, he seriously needs his team to do him a turn.

With one win in their last 13 games in all competitions, it's hard to fathom Manchester City leaving here with just a point in February.

For United, they completely blew a 2-0 lead to Sevilla in midweek in the first leg of their Europa League quarter final.

They'll have one eye on winning that competition, but their main focus is making sure they're in the Champions League next term.

They occupy fourth spot at the minute, just behind Newcastle in third on goal difference, and lead Spurs by three points having played a game less.

Injury issues in the heart of the United defence to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are adding even further strain on the side as they look to put a bit of daylight between themselves and the chasing pack.

Toff to take

Renan Lodi's injury has handed Harry Toffolo a place in the Forest line-up and he looks set to take his place again.

He's picked up a booking in two of the last three fixtures against Aston Villa and Wolves.

Up against Antony on that side, the 27-year-old could have a tough afternoon and the 4/1 odds looks pretty generous.

Fab Sab

He was the goal hero in midweek and Marcel Sabitzer could make a big contribution here too.

He's yet to score in the Premier League and will want to set that record straight, with United likely to have plenty of possession.

Two or more shots on target is a tempting price at 15/2 but we'll go a bit more conservative this time.

Half and half

United are without Marcus Rashford, which takes away some (ok, a lot) of their attacking power.

But they showed in midweek and in the win over Everton last weekend that there's goals in their side.

We expect them to come out quickly against a Forest side in freefall and a goal either side of half time could be lucrative.
