Man Utd hero Bastian Schweinsteiger names his ultimate 5-a-side team… with two ‘crazy players’ up front
GERMAN football legend Bastian Schweinsteiger has named his ultimate 5-a-side team.
The ex-Man Utd star, now 38, took to social media to reveal the side after admitting it was something he gets asked all the time.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the World Cup winner opted for Manuel Neuer in goal.
He said: "I need a goalkeeper who can save the ball - but also play high quality football."
At the back, Schweinsteiger picked himself to play alongside his "idol" Franz Beckenbauer.
Up front he went with "two crazy players" - Thomas Muller and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who he played with at Bayern Munich and Manchester United respectively.

"(They are) two players with amazing vision," Schweinsteiger added.
Schweinsteiger, himself, had a storied career.
He played 500 times for Bayern Munich, where he won eight Bundesliga titles, as well as the Champions League in 2013.
A year later, the midfield general would be instrumental in helping Germany lift the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
His performance in the final against Argentina was lauded as one of the most inspirational of all-time, captaining his country to glory after extra time.

Schweinsteiger joined Man Utd in 2015, but following a fall out with Jose Mourinho he was on the move in 2017 to the MLS.
After three seasons with Chicago Fire, he hung up his boots in 2019.
Schweinsteiger is Germany's fourth-most-capped player of all time, having earned 121 caps and scored 24 goals.
