But in his latest clip Bjornsson said: "I am positive, I am optimistic. I can move my arm, there's not really huge discomfort now."

He did add, though: "The swelling is getting worse. Every day it gets worse and worse."

Bjornsson turned to the camera as he responded: "Obviously I want to do the surgery as quickly as possible because the sooner I do it then sooner I can recover."

The doc then added: "I'm almost certain that's possible to repair - most of it but I'm not sure completely all. We will have to see in the surgery.

"Usually it will heal very well. It will heal with a certain amount of scar tissue so you will have to have good physiotherapy - six to 12 weeks to heal."

Bjornsson retained his calm good spirit throughout.

And he issued a buoyant message for fans.

He said: "The surgeon had told me on a phone ccall he is very optimistic that i will recover fully.

"I want to recover as well as possible and get back to my best.";
