Zinchenko has let Arsenal down when it matters most, slams Gallas as he points out fundamental ‘problem’ in his game
OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO has let Arsenal down when it mattered most.
That is according to William Gallas.
The former Gunner blasted the left-back’s defending and said he has been “found wanting” during the title race.
Gallas also accused the Ukrainian of “sleeping” as Duje Caleta-Car escaped his marking to head Southampton’s third goal during Friday’s 3-3 Emirates draw.
Former centre-back Gallas said: “The defence was terrible.
"Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus were below par and Thomas Partey wasn’t at his best.

“Zinchenko was sleeping for Southampton’s third goal. It was not the first time he has been found wanting.
“Defending is not his strength. One versus one is often a problem.”
The draw was Arsenal’s third on the bounce and left them just five points above second-placed Manchester City, having played two games more.
Wednesday night's Etihad clash sees Zinchenko return to his old club for the second time since Arsenal paid City £30million for him last summer.

Having won four titles at City, Gallas wants the 26-year-old to use his previous triumphs to help Mikel Arteta’s side.
He added: “Zinchenko is one of Arsenal’s most experienced players and, in these types of games, you need that experience — you want to see him managing the game.
“But we haven’t seen that. He hasn’t performed very well in the last few matches.
“It will be difficult at City, it’ll be emotional.”
