MANCHESTER UNITED are one of the clubs eyeing up a swoop for Fulham star Joao Palhinha.
The Cottagers are bracing themselves for a fight to hold on to their star man due to Palhinha’s form attracting several suitors.
The midfielder only arrived in West London from Sporting Lisbon for £20m last summer.
The 27-year-old was close to joining Wolves before Fulham nabbed him at the last minute.
Palhinha has been a mainstay in the Fulham midfield in his debut Premier League campaign.
He has amassed a total of four goals in 34 appearances this season and been a huge factor in the club rising up the table to ninth.

However, United look set to be the only ones that would be able to offer Palhinha the prospect of Champions League football next term.
Fulham are expected to demand at least £60m for his services.
