FOOTBALL fans begged Jeff Stelling “please don’t go” as he made the most of one of his last shows on Sky.
The much-loved host celebrated a goal from his beloved Hartlepool for the last time on the show.
TV favourite Stelling announced his decision to quit the popular programme last month.
The 68-year-old has been in the hotseat for 25 years.
And Stelling’s final show will come on May 28, with Adam Smith in pole position to take over.
One of the highlights of each Soccer Saturday was his brilliant reaction to favourite team Hartlepool.

The League Two side have already been relegated to the National League.
But they gave Stelling one final cheer as they managed a goal to draw 1-1 at promotion-chasing Stockport.
The pundit danced excitedly in his seat as he celebrated what turned out to be Hartlepool’s final goal in their last game of the season.
And heartbroken fans begged Stelling to make a U-turn on his decision to quit Soccer Saturday.

One said: “Please don’t go Jeff.”
Another declared: “Shame that he’s leaving.”
One noted: “There had to be a late winner for him celebrate again.”

Fans are now anxiously waiting for Sky to announce Stelling’s replacement, with Smith currently favourite.
But fellow presenter Julian Warren is also said to be in the mix.
