The likes of Roger Federer, Serena Williams and Andy Murray have reaped huge benefits, with millions in their bank accounts.

With this year's Wimbledon underway, the world's leading tennis stars will be hoping for a share of the record-breaking £50million prize pot, with £2.7m each reserved for the male and female champions.

With Andy Murray now confirmed to have dropped out of singles action following an injury, several new stars and veterans will be looking to claim career-defining victories.

But this would be the first tournament without the participation of the legendary Williams sisters. Also, Rafael Nadal won't be competing as he has taken a break from the sport.
