The racing icon's final ever competitive ride in the UK is set for Champions Day at Ascot on October 21st.

Dettori guided Soul Sister to victory in the Oaks on Friday after winning the Coronation Cup on Emily Upjohn earlier in the day to complete a dream Group 1 double on the day.

But now all attention turns to the Derby, with bookies predicting Frankie fever to hit the nation as he bids to win the world's most prestigious race for one last time.

The Italian has already ridden the three-year-old colt once this season in Chester.

Dettori was victorious on Arrest in the Boodles Chester Vase Stakes on May 10th.

The horse is already being backed from 6-1 into about 9-2.

Has Frankie Dettori ever won the Epsom Derby?

Frankie Dettori has tasted victory in the Epsom Derby twice during his spectacular career in horse racing.

The Italian triumphed on Authorized in 2007 claiming the £709,750 prize that year.

Eight years later Dettori rode Golden Horn to victory, which was also trained by Arrest's famed handler John Gosden.
