Laura Kenny has jumped back on her bike to begin the four year road to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Laura Kenny took six weeks off after marrying her fellow Olympic cyclist Jason Kenny and will now compete at the Revolution Cycling Champions League
LAURA KENNY formerly Trott has returned to cycling as she prepares for another four years of hard work and sets her sights on Tokyo.
Her husband Jason has yet to confirm if he will be back at Olympic level to compete for more medals to add to his six Olympic titles.
His wife however is already planning on how she can stun her rivals for the third Olympics in a row, she will be even more competitive than before, whilst being 28 when Tokyo comes along she will quite possibly be at very best.
For someone that has already won four gold medals at just the age of 24 there is an underline tone that she is still only going to get better, if that is at all possible.
As reported by the Kenny said: ''I want to go to Tokyo, I want to be there, but I've got to be re-selected first and I'm going to take it one year at a time.''
''With the younger girls coming through now, it's going to be tough to get selected because British cycling is so good.
''We've got the World Championships in Hong Kong but just because I'm world and Olympic champion doesn't mean that I'm guaranteed a spot.''
With someone of Kenny's ability it can only be a good thing that she is challenged by her fellow British cyclists as it will keep her determined to be the best.

Kenny added: "Its only a good thing that my place isn't set in stone, because it keeps you on your toes.''
''Every training session that you go out and do means that you are focused on it, rather than thinking that you're already selected. You can never take anything for granted.''
Kenny will next be on the track on 2 and 3 December in the Revolution Cycling Champions League at the Lee Valley VeloPark.
