Wimbledon set to look VERY different this year as iconic sponsor is replaced for the first time in 86 years
WIMBLEDON will look very different this year, with Barclays set to take over from Robinsons as one of the tournament’s main sponsors.
The traditional branding of Robinsons barley water, which has been a mainstay on centre court for the past 86 years, will be stripped this summer.

Instead, Barclays have been granted exclusive markings in the area where the players sit.
The lucrative sponsorship agreement is said to be worth approximately £20million-a-year.
HSBC, Wimbledon’s previous banking partners, are said to have been taken aback by the huge change.
Last year, HSBC signed tennis superstar Emma Raducanu as a global ambassador to support their association with the Grand Slam.
However, they have now been disassociated from the tournament altogether.
Despite the end of Robinsons’ sponsorship, which was announced last year, iconic partners Slazenger will stay.
Barclays’ eyewatering investment will see the company host a clubhouse and a fanzone during the tournament.
They will also make the largest-ever donation to the Wimbledon Foundation.

This year’s Wimbledon Championships will start on Monday July 3 and end with the men’s singles final on Sunday July 16.
British star Raducanu will not take part due to injury, but Andy Murray is expected to play.
