ZIDANE IQBAL is on the brink of leaving Manchester United permanently according to reports.

The 20-year-old is rated highly by many but failed to play any first-team football in Erik ten Hag's maiden season at Old Trafford.

One furious Red Devil ranted by saying: "Yeah Ten Hag, lost the absolute plot with the youth.

"Selling [James] Garner and Iqbal whilst giving no minutes to [Anthony] Elanga or [Facundo] Pellistri.

"Not to mention blocking many from the U20 World Cup.

Manchester local Iqbal joined United's youth system at the tender age of nine.

Iqbal made Red Devils history in December 2021 by becoming United's first-ever British South Asian footballer in their Champions League clash with Young Boys.
