ROMEO BECKHAM could be set for a stint in Brentford's FIRST TEAM after he was pictured modelling the club's new kit.

The forward, 20, who is the son of Manchester United and England legend David Beckham, made 15 appearances for the Bees' youth side last season, scoring one goal.

And he helped them lift the Premier League Cup, with his impressive displays earning him a permanent move to the West London outfit.

He initially joined on loan from his father's MLS club Inter Miami and is now focused on continuing to develop in England.

But he was front and centre for Brentford's kit launch this week as he donned their fresh strip - which they will wear for the next two seasons.

Beckham will begin the 2023/24 campaign in the academy side - who have a different sponsor on their kit - but has aspirations of forcing his way into Thomas Frank's thoughts.

And while modelling Brentford's new strip, he added the caption: "2023/24 can’t wait," alongside a bee and black heart emoji.

After penning a deal with the Premier League side last month, Beckham said: "It's been such a good experience, I've loved every second of it. It's a good group of boys, good coaches. It's a really nice place to be.

"It's been amazing [the support]. It's helped me settle in, and enjoy playing in England. Obviously, a different experience to Miami, but I've loved every second of it.

"Seeing Trev [Ryan Trevitt] and a couple of the boys on the bench, it shows it's all possible. If you work hard enough, you'll get there."

Meanwhile, Brentford explained the decision to wear their new kit across the next two seasons.

A statement from the club read: "This launch of the new two-year home kit for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons underlines our commitment to affordability, inclusion and a shared responsibility of taking another small step towards a more environmentally conscious future."

Frank's men enjoyed an incredibly successful 2022/23 campaign, finishing ninth in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of the European places.
