Arsenal fans praise ‘best team in the world right now’ as Gunners tie down free agent Reiss Nelson to new contract

REISS NELSON has signed a new four-year Arsenal contract after rejecting the chance to leave the Emirates as a free agent.

The 23-year-old winger has not started a League game for the club in three years but has been convinced by manager Mikel Arteta that he still has a future at the Emirates.

He said: "The boss told me he wanted to extend my contract when I came back from my loan spell at Feyenoord last year and he’s seen a massive change in me.

"I’ve been here since I was eight years old and it’s been a hell of a journey through all the good and the bad years.

"But I’ve seen the rise of the team in the last year and I want to be part of that journey.

"I feel next season gives me the opportunity to grow and take the next steps in my career.”
