Fans distracted by BBC presenter John McEnroe’s anti-Wimbledon look but Clare Balding wants Tim Henman to copy him
WIMBLEDON fans have been distracted by BBC presenter John McEnroe's bold all-black look at the All England Club.
However Clare Balding joked that she wanted Tim Henman to copy the tennis icon as they chatted courtside.
Viewers were left distracted by McEnroe's anti-Wimbledon appearance ahead of the quarter-final match between Andrey Rublev and Novak Djokovic on Tuesday.
The three-time Wimbledon champion sported a black t-shirt and blazer along with two gold necklaces to complete the striking look.
After spotting his outfit, one viewer tweeted: "When John McEnroe has tennis punditry at #Wimbledon in the afternoon and a rock concert at Wembley in the evening."
Another wrote: "Rock superstar John McEnroe after raiding Mrs Mac’s jewellery box."

McEnroe's look, which was very much the antithesis of Wimbledon's all-white tradition, did not go unnoticed by Balding and Henman.
Balding joked: "I'm enjoying the fact you're clearly supporting Rublev today, because you know he's a big Iron Maiden fan, and I feel you've gone for that heavy metal look."
Henman replied: "I was thinking of going for that look as well.. I sort of spun a coin this morning. It came down to the suit and tie unfortunately."
"I'd quite like to see you with that look," Balding continued.
The former British number one was not as keen, adding: "I'm not sure I'd like to see it."
McEnroe disagreed, though, as he quipped: "I think we should push for that."
