Thomas Tuchel gives brutally honest opinion on Sadio Mane with ex-Liverpool ace ‘available for bargain transfer fee’
THOMAS TUCHEL has given his honest opinion on Sadio Mane's underwhelming debut season at Bayern Munich.
The forward struggled to replicate the form that saw him rated as one of the best in the world at Liverpool.
Mane, 31, joined Bayern last summer in £35m transfer from Liverpool as he penned a three-year deal.
However, he only managed to score 12 times in 38 appearances in all competitions as he failed to fill the void left by Robert Lewandowski.
His time at the club hit its low after an alleged bust-up with former Manchester City star Leroy Sane which saw him suspended from the squad.
And manager Tuchel has not held back when he was asked about Mane.

As transcribed by , Tuchel said: "He fell short of expectations.
"The competitive situation is extremely high, the starting position is not easy for him.
"The player knows that too, he knows my opinion and the opinion of the club."
The Senegalese forward has been linked with an exit from the Bundesliga giants despite only being at the club for 12 months.

Bayern are thought to be willing to sell Mane for just £17m, less than half what they paid Liverpool for him.
He has since been linked with moves to Newcastle, Manchester United and the Saudi Pro League.
They hope to raise funds to boost their bid to sign Tottenham star Harry Kane.
The club have seen two bids rejected by Spur but are Kane's preferred destination should he leave North London.
