Marco Silva refuses to commit to Fulham as he CONFIRMS huge Al-Ahli offer in bombshell press conference
MARCO SILVA refused to reveal whether he has accepted or rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia in a bizarre press conference.
The Fulham boss has also admitted that the situation surrounding Aleksandar Mitrovic is “not ideal” as the row continues over his own Saudi move.
Portuguese coach Silva has confirmed he received an offer this week, which is understood to be from Al Ahli on a £40million two-year deal – and that he has given an answer.
However, when asked what the answer was, Silva – who has 12 months left on his current deal – replied: “I answered for my club. I will not talk about this situation.”
When pressed on whether he had declined the offer, Silva repeated: “I will not talk about the situation. I have shown my commitment to this club so many times and it will continue.
“I don’t come here to talk about offers and these situations. If you ask me, I will not lie to you, if I receive an offer, of course, the club knows that, but I will talk nothing more.

“I told you before and I repeat again, I don’t need to say many words. I prefer to do it with actions and my staff.
“About rumours about myself, it is not the first time. Last time it happened the same, an official offer, and during last season as well two, three times. I never spoke about it.
“I have shown my commitment always to this club every single time. My commitment for the club is clear and it will continue this way.”
Mitrovic will miss Fulham’s game against Brentford in Philadelphia tomorrow as the row continues over his own Saudi move.

The Serbian striker, 28, is understood not to feel mentally fit after his club turned down a second bid of about £30million from Al-Hilal.
Mitrovic, who has three years left on his £100,000- a-week contract, could see that pay packet jump to £400,000 in Saudi.
Silva said: “With Mitro, it is not an ideal scenario, not because he received an offer. He is not going to play tomorrow or last Wednesday. He is not working properly with his teammates.
“I have spoken with Mitro already. He knows my opinion. I am here to give my best for all my players and protect them and sometimes there are individual decisions.
“It doesn’t concern me, but I would like to have a different scenario. I have many more things in my mind other than Mitro.
“We lost seven players from last season and you have to prepare for a Premier Legaue season and you haven’t signed at least one, this is the biggest thing for me.”
On whether it will be a struggle to sign players with his Fulham future still a doubt, Silva laughed: “Why would players not believe I will stay? I am under contract at Fulham.
“You think we don’t sign players because the manager is in the last year of his contract? It is completely wrong. My situation is the same as last June.
“This is not the reason we didn’t sign players. I am speaking to players we want to sign every single day because I am preparing the future of this club.”
