A MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER star was shown a straight red card after HEADBUTTING is opponent in the face.
Sporting Kansas star Alan Pulido was given his marching orders after butting Yerson Mosquera in the 34th minute.
Tensions during a Leagues Cup game between MLS sides FC Cincinnati and Kansas boiled over after the pair tussled for the ball.
Pulido, 32, could be seen pressuring on-loan Wolves defender Mosquera to win the ball, with the Colombian dribbling towards the side of the pitch before being brought down.
With the duo entangled on the floor, Mosquera, 22, pushed away his Mexican countepart.
In response, Pulido attempted to get in the face of his opponent but ended up hitting his opponent square in the face.

The impact left Mosquera rolling around in agony clutching his face.
And referee Daniel Quinitero Huitron was left with no choice but to brandish a red card for Pulido.
And the striker's dismissal proved detrimental as Kansas conceded just moments later to halve the two-goal deficit the team had created.
Cincinnati went on to win the game 4-2 on penalties after drawing 3-3 in regulation time, taking the game there after a 98th-minute equaliser.

Reacting to the shocking incident, one fan tweeted: "Lost his mind there."
A second said: "Lost his cool."
However, some fans believed Mosquera should have been given a caution as well, with one writing: "Other guy deserves one for the push."
The Leagues Cup has also provided fireworks after being the competition in which Lionel Messi scored on his debut for Inter Miami to leave David Beckham in tears.
