Jimenez, 32, was tipped for a £60m switch to Manchester United in 2020.

He has now penned a two-year deal with Fulham after falling out of favour at Wolves.

Marco Silva's side also possess an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months, should they choose to.

After completing his move to Craven Cottage, Jimenez told Fulham's club media: "It’s really important for me to arrive here.

"I will try to do my best for the team, one of the most iconic teams in the Premier League.

"I’m happy to be here and to play in this stadium, it’s a really good stadium, I like it here. I’m going to give my best to keep scoring goals in the Premier League."

Jimenez scored a combined 30 goals across his first two seasons in the Prem.

He netted a further four in 10 games at the beginning of the 2020-21 campaign before suffering a fractured skull against Arsenal.

The striker made an incredible recovery in time for the start of the following campaign, going on to net six times in 2021-22.

He fell out of favour last term under Julen Lopetegui, however, failing to register in 15 Premier League outings.

Despite his difficult few years, many fans believe that Fulham have bagged themselves a bargain.

One tweeted: "Best bang for your buck."

While a second wrote: "Great deal for Fulham."

A third claimed: "Fulham are about to revive his career."

And another added: "At first I thought that price there is his FPL."

It remains to be seen whether Jimenez will act as Aleksandar Mitrovic's replacement.
