According to , the move comes with Mauricio Pochettino looking to replace the injured Wesley Fofana.

The former Leicester star was hit with a devastating knee injury earlier this month - with fears he could end up missing the ENTIRE 2023-24 season.

And the move for Disasi will give Chelsea another option for the right side of their centre-back pairing.

Disasi was previously linked with Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle.

The 25-year-old was part of France's 2022 World Cup squad, appearing three times - including a one-minute cameo off the bench in the final.

Incoming transfer activity for the Blues had been slow in recent weeks before exploding into life over the weekend.

Club transfer chiefs reportedly agreed a £23.5m deal to sign 19-year-old Lesley Ugochukwu - dubbed the next Patrick Vieira - from Ligue 1 outfit Rennes.

Chelsea have now returned to the French top flight for Monaco defender Disasi.

He originally joined the club in an £11m move from Reims in 2020 after coming through the academy at Paris FC.

It is also the second time Chelsea have shopped in the Monaco team in two windows after previously bringing in Benoit Badiashile for the left side of the defence in January.

Disasi has shown a strong affinity on the ball with his strong passing range, while also displaying a domineering physicality at 6ft 3in.

Elsewhere, Chelsea have seen an £80m bid for Brighton's Moises Caicedo rejected.
