Chelsea fans convinced starlet is already better than Mason Mount after ‘outrageous’ footwork to set up Nkunku vs Fulham
CHELSEA fans are convinced Carney Chukwuemeka is already better than Mason Mount.
That’s after his “outrageous” footwork set up another goal for Christopher Nkunku in pre-season.
Chukwuemeka lined up as Mauricio Pochettino’s No10 for the first half of Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Fulham in the US.
The former Aston Villa man showed off his silky skills with some deft touches.
But with Chelsea going 1-0 up through Thiago Silva, Chukwuemeka decided to take things up a step.
Pouncing onto a loose ball outside Fulham’s box, the midfielder demonstrated his fleet footedness by darting through several opposition defenders.

With the goal on sight, Chukwuemeka then pulled the trigger on a fearsome shot.
Fulham goalie Bernd Leno was able to get down to it, but the hit was so powerful he was unable to hold the ball.
Instead, it dropped to the feet of French forward Nkunku, who buried it into the back of the net for his third goal in four outings.
Chelsea fans were delighted seeing Chukwuemeka grow in confidence after a quiet debut season under Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard.
The England hopeful has big shoes to fill following Mount’s £55million move to Manchester United.
But some supporters reckon they’ve already upgraded on their former academy starlet.
One said: “Chukwuemeka is better than Mount. A star in the making.”
Another declared: “Who needs Mount and Kai Havertz when you have Chukwuemeka and Nkunku?”
One noted: “Ridiculous footwork from Chukwuemeka before Nkunku’s goal.”
Another declared: “Football has finally found its Yaya Toure regen. Chukwuemeka.”
