Jeff Stelling CONFIRMED as Laura Woods’ replacement on talkSPORT but fans will have to wait to hear Soccer Saturday icon
JEFF STELLING has been CONFIRMED as Laura Woods' replacement on the talkSPORT breakfast show.
Stelling was available after leaving his role as presenter on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday at the end of last season after over 25 years of service.
Meanwhile, Woods has left talkSPORT to join TNT Sports, who have rebranded from BT.
Stelling is set to start his new job in December and will work on Mondays and Tuesdays alongside Ally McCoist.
The much-loved 68-year-old host said: “I’m so pleased to be joining the team at talkSPORT.
"As a long time listener to the show it’s a dream of mine to sit in the legendary chair and wake people up every Monday and Tuesday.

"I might not be looking forward to the 4:30 alarm call, but I am looking forward to getting stuck in with great guests, chat and fun every morning alongside the legendary Ally McCoist.”
For now, McCoist will work with Natalie Sawyer and Andy Townsend until Stelling's arrival.
On Wednesdays, Alan Brazil and McCoist host while Gabby Agbonlahor joins on Thursdays and Arsenal Invincible Ray Parlour on Fridays.
Simon Thomas took over from Stelling on Saturday as the 2023/24 EFL season kicked off.
Sky also saw Soccer Saturday favourite Bianca Westwood leave while the beloved Dickie Davis also announced his departure.
Stelling paid tribute to ex-colleague Westwood following her announcement.
He tweeted: "Such a great girl, such a great reporter. I have to say that of course as we are doing 30+ theatre tour in Jan and Feb. But I also mean it."
Woods, meanwhile, has been hosting the Women's Wolrd Cup for ITV and left fans in awe with her latest stunning outfit.
