Liverpool send ‘two officials to Bayern Munich’ as they take major step to try and seal Ryan Gravenberch transfer

LIVERPOOL have sent two officials to Germany as they explore a move for Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch, according to reports.

The Reds are determined to further bolster their midfield prior to the transfer deadline.

Jurgen Klopp's side have lost Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain since last season concluded.

Liverpool tried to sign Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia as replacements, only for the duo to both snub them in favour of joining Chelsea.

The Reds have since signed Japanese midfielder Wataru Endo from Stuttgart for £19million.

But they remain keen on signing another option.

According to German outlet , Liverpool have sent chief scout Barry Hunter and head of recruitment Dave Fallows on a fact finding mission in Munich.

They add that the duo have been tasked with "obtaining detailed information" about the 21-year-old star.

Gravenberch joined Bayern from Ajax in the summer of 2022.

He has struggled for game time, however, starting just three Bundesliga matches for the German giants.

The Dutchman was left on the bench for last weekend's German Super Cup defeat, and again in last night's league opener against Werder Bremen.

Despite not yet utilising him this season, boss Thomas Tuchel has urged Gravenberch to be patient and wait for his chance.

He said: "I see him in an attacking position.

"When he was subbed on in pre-season games, he was very good and always had influence.

"But there's a lot of competition there. I see his strengths under pressure from opponents and in dribbling.

"I'm very happy with the way he's training. If he's patient, he'll get his chance."
