MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly considering a surprise transfer for Paris Saint-Germain star Marco Verratti.
That’s after Jose Mourinho REJECTED an Old Trafford transfer move for the midfielder five years ago.
claims Verratti, 30, will be on the move this summer amid interest from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli.
The Italian Euros winner has been at PSG since 2012, making 416 appearances while landing nine Ligue 1 titles.
However, Verratti is no longer wanted in the French capital.
New boss Luis Enrique is putting his faith in new signings like Manuel Ugarte.

And Verratti is now up for grabs after joining PSG’s list of “undesirables”, formerly headed by Kylian Mbappe.
It’s reckoned United are keeping tabs on the experienced ace after a humiliating 2-0 defeat to Spurs on Saturday.
The Red Devils were run ragged in the middle of the park.
And Verratti could have the technical ability needed to sit alongside Casemiro in a pivot.

He was previously linked with United five years ago during Mourinho’s reign.
But the Special One decided against a big-money bid, instead opting to spend £47million on Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred.
It remains to be seen if United do move for him, having already signed Mason Mount for £55m.
The former Chelsea man looked out of his depth in a deeper role yesterday.
And Erik ten Hag must find a solution quickly after also witnessing a lacklustre performance in the opening weekend win against Wolves.
United aren’t the only European giants to register an interest in Verratti, with Bayern Munich also said to be keeping tabs.
However, Al-Ahli remains Verratti’s most likely destination.
They have already landed numerous big names including Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez and Edouard Mendy.

Allan Saint-Maximin, Franck Kessie, Roger Ibanez and Merih Demiral have also been signed for tasty fees.
And with the mammoth wages on offer, Verratti could opt for a Middle Eastern move even if United make their interest formal.
