Tottenham ‘set to turn to England star’ in shock transfer after talks to sign £50m-rated Brennan Johnson stall
TOTTENHAM are considering a late swoop for Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze as talks with Nottingham Forest over Brennan Johnson stall.
Ange Postecoglou's side are way off Forest's valuation of £50million for Johnson.
And time is running out to do a deal ahead of tomorrow's 11pm transfer deadline.
The 22-year-old Welsh star enjoyed a successful debut season in the Premier League last season.
He scored eight goals in 38 appearances last year helping Forest to survival.
And the winger's performances have earned him admiring glances, especially from boss Postecogolou.

Tottenham were keen to snatch Johnson but have failed to meet Forest owner Evangelos Marianakis' £50m valuation.
Brighton have so far come closest, seeing a £43m bid rejected this week.
Spurs are also set to miss out on a loan deal for Ansu Fati, with the Barcelona starlet set for Brighton instead.
And, according to the , Aussie boss Postecoglou is reportedly ready to pivot to Palace playmaker Eze as he searches for more attacking talent.

However Palace will be very reluctant to sell their star man this close to the deadline and will likely demand more than £60m.
The midfielder has grown at Palace since signing from QPR in 2020 and is believed to be on the verge of a first England cap.
The 25-year-old was Palace's top goal scorer last season with 10 goals.
And Palace are in line to offer the midfield magician a major pay hike of about £5million-a-year to tempt him to stay put.
But a deal is likely to include a release clause which would leave the door open to a bit move at a later date.
