Georginio Wijnaldum ‘to be reunited with ex-Liverpool pal Jordan Henderson in £8m transfer after Steven Gerrard call’
GEORGINIO WIJNALDUM is set to reunite with ex-Liverpool pal Jordan Henderson in Saudi Arabia.
The duo excelled in midfield together at Anfield between 2016 and 2021.
Wijnaldum left the Reds for Paris Saint-Germain two years ago, but the move did not go to plan.
Having been left out in the cold by the French champions, he is now set to move to Saudi Arabia.
According to transfer expert , the Dutchman has agreed to sign for Al-Ettifaq.
The Saudi Pro League side are understood to be paying around £7.5m for Wijnaldum.

After making the move to the Middle East, Wijnaldum will play under former Liverpool hero Steven Gerrard.
The 43-year-old is claimed to have called Wijnaldum earlier this week to convince him of the project.
Wijnaldum, 32, has agreed a three-year contract to sign for Al-Ettifaq, joining old pal Henderson.
The ex-Liverpool captain signed for Al-Ettifaq in a lucrative deal earlier this summer.

Henderson, 33, has so far made three appearances in the Saudi Pro League, skippering his new side.
Despite making the move, the veteran midfielder was named in Gareth Southgate's latest England squad.
Alongside Wijnaldum at Liverpool, Henderson was able to lift the Champions League and Prem title.
Wijnaldum made 38 appearances for PSG after leaving Anfield, before being loaned to Roma last season.
Upon his return to Paris he was made to train away from the first team with his fellow PSG misfits, which for a time included Kylian Mbappe.
