England announce a record £400m kit deal with Nike signing 12 year contract extension
FA confirm mega deal to extend kit deal to 2030 with American manufacturers meaning no chance of the return of Umbro
ENGLAND have agreed a staggering £400m kit deal with Nike which will last for the next 12 years taking the deal to 2030 which would mean that the American sportswear's association with England will last for 15 years.
There was an existing deal in place with Nike already which started in 2013 ending a long stint with Umbro producing the England team's match day strips and training kits.
As reported by the the new deal makes England the second largest kit deal behind Germany, England will be paid £33m a year in their partnership with Nike which is still some way off some of the kit deals in the Premier League.
Chelsea have more than doubled England's kit deal with Nike earlier this year when they signed a 15 year contract worth around £900m the contract Chelsea have is worth double a £30m a year deal they had with Adidas.
The new Nike deal for the club will put the Blues in the top three kit deals sponsorship deals in the world, behind Manchester United and Real Madrid who are both seen as the first global brand football clubs in the world.

England's deal comes as a bit of a surprise considering their performance at the Euros which saw them dumped out by Iceland in the last 16 but with Gareth Southgate taking chance and the promise of more young talent coming through England are an attractive prospect.
England might not be the best performing national in the world but they attract the most attention with many sponsors wanting to be part of the England set up.
England will want to move forward and by the time a new kit deal is to be agreed then they would have wanted to have won something or at least come very close.
