Man Utd youth star and one of Rashford best pals closing in on return to football after being left unemployed at 25
FORMER Manchester United academy star Ro-Shaun Williams is closing in on a return to football, according to reports.
Williams, 25, left Doncaster Rovers at the end of the 2022-23 campaign and has since been working individually with a coach while recovering from a shin injury.
He is yet to find a new club, but according to , Salford and Stockport have expressed an interest.
Both clubs are understood to be monitoring his progress.
Williams joined Man Utd's academy at the age of nine in 2008 and gradually progressed through the age groups.
He eventually left the club to join Shrewsbury in January 2019 after making 57 appearances for the Under-21's.

The defender spent two years at New Meadow and made 97 appearances across all competitions.
He then signed for Doncaster, where he scored one goal in 70 outings.
Williams became close friends with Man Utd star Marcus Rashford during his time at the club's academy.
He was the winger's guest at the international friendly between Scotland and England at Hampden Park earlier this month.
