Bethpage Black has hosted the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Opens along with the 2019 PGA Championships.

USA will feel as if they have a slight advantage as all three events have been won by an American - Tiger Woods (2002), Lucas Glover (2009) and Brooks Koepka (2019).

  • The all important singles

Here's how the singles panned out.

  • Viktor-ious new profile pic for Hovland

One of the stand-out performers on the European team, Viktor Hovland is loving life.

Getting his hands on the Ryder Cup and well in the running for the player of the tournament.

This victory will no doubt spur him on to go and win more majors from this point onwards.

  • Points won this week

Here's who won the most points for their team.

No surprises who rose to the occasion for Europe. Of course it was McIlroy.

  • McIlroy hopeful of more success

Rory McIlroy believes the future of Team Europe in the Ryder Cup is healthy for years to come.

"Fresh blood came in and they were embraced. We know the future of this team is Bob MacIntrye, Ludvig Aberg, Nicolai Hojgaard," he told Sky Sports/

"Viktor Hovland and Jon Rahm are leaders of the team. I just hope I can play a few more alongside them."

  • Emotional McIlroy

Rory McIlroy couldn't hide his emotions after Team Europe won the Ryder Cup.

"I don't get emotional about any other event apart from this. This is truly the best event in golf bar none," he said.

"Any boy or girl aspiring to play golf, this is the pinnacle. This is the best and I hope anyone who is a great golfer gets to experience what we are experiencing right now."

  • USA got a 'nasty shock'

Nick Faldo believes USA got a 'nasty shock' in their defeat to Europe in the Ryder Cup.

"Zach Johnson took a risk with his six picks. They are great names but I said right from the start that they were all running hot and cold," Faldo told Sky Sports.

"He left out Lucas Glover who had just won two tournaments so I am sure he is hurting over that.

"Whether America thought they could waltz over here because they are bigger and stronger, I don't know, but they got a nasty shock.

"Europe were physically, technically and mentally prepared. They were ready. I said this was going to happen."

  • Faldo's superpowers

RYDER CUP fans joked Nick Faldo has "superpowers" after an incredibly spooky moment live on Sky Sports.

The four-time winner and former Masters champion was discussing Europe's 16½-11½ victory this weekend in Rome.

But then he produced a bizarre incident which left viewers at home partly amazed and partly terrified.

Speaking about the comedown after three days of incredible but intense golfing drama and bitter rivalry, Faldo, 66, said: "You watch, wallop.

"It won't just be the alcohol.

"Emotionally it will be a serious wallop, they'll be like jellyfish tomorrow morning."

Hilariously, though, just as Faldo mentioned the alcohol giving the European players a "wallop", a person walking across the Marco Simone course in the background suddenly and unexpectedly falls over.

  • Rose on the car park row

Justin Rose have delivered his say on THAT car park row involving Patrick Cantlay's caddie.

Rose admitted: “Things bubbled over for a short minute [last night]. Joe [Cantlay’s caddie] would probably admit that.

"He and Patrick have been absorbing a lot this week with the hats and from the crowd. When your player does something incredible on 18, it is easy to get carried away.

“It’s cliche but hats off to Patrick. He’s tough. Great player.

“I played with Patrick and Joe today and they were perfect gentleman. I threw everything I had at them today. Patrick is a hell of a golfer and a tough competitor.”

  • Pep praises Fleetwood

Pep Guardiola congratulated golfer Tommy Fleetwood after he clinched Europe's Ryder Cup triumph in Rome.

Speaking on Instagram, the Spaniard said: "You deserve this Ryder Cup more than anyone else.

"You are an incredible guy and as everyone knows an exceptional golfer. Love you.

"Congratulations Europe to get the back."

  • What?

Piers Morgan and Paige Spiranac were both left baffled after Rickie Fowler conceded a putt to hand the Ryder Cup to Europe.

Piers was shocked by the gimme, and labelled Fowler "bonkers" for giving up the game.

He tweeted: "I wouldn’t concede this putt to one of my sons, let alone to gift the opposition a Ryder Cup. It’s not ‘good sportsmanship’, it’s bonkers."

Paige, who is a big fan of Fowler, agreed with Piers' view and criticised the American for his concession.

She wrote: "I know Rickie is a nice guy but you don’t concede that putt."

  • Paige Spiranac congratulates Europe

Paige Spiranac broke her silence after the United States' Ryder Cup defeat.

And then she joined in with the hilarious 'Colonel Sanders' meme.

The glamorous former golfer and social media star from Colorado was gutted to see her compatriots beaten 16½-11½ by Team Europe in Rome.

And she tweeted her congratulations to Luke Donald's men who outclassed their American opponents over the three days.

Paige, 30, wrote: "Well played Europe.

"This Ryder Cup turned out to be a great one to watch!

"Loved all the passion shown on both sides."
