Gary Lineker mocks Jamie Vardy’s sending off against Stoke City by saying he will have a nice Christmas break off

LEICESTER CITY fan and former player Gary Lineker joked around with Jamie Vardy at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
The Foxes striker was sent off against Stoke City on the weekend, meaning he will miss the Boxing Day clash as well as the New Year's Eve fixture for his side.
Vardy was issued a straight red card for his jumping two-footed tackle on Mame Diouf, and the Match of the Day presenter took the sending off in good gesture.
Lineker said: "You’re obviously getting a bit of Christmas break yourself!"
He will miss the games against Everton and West Ham over the festive period, both taking place at the King Power Stadium.

The England international was nominated for the Sports Personality of the Year award for his part in helping his side to clinch a historic and unlikely Premier League crown.
Vardy, discovered from non-league football believes there are many players in the lower leagues who could go and replicate similar success as himself.
He said: "I still pinch myself most days bit it’s a good thing remembering where I’ve come from and the hard work that’s gone into it.
"I think there's loads (of talent), the scouting system thinks there’s loads so hopefully that will produce much more in future."
