TNT SPORTS star Laura Woods has revealed she NEVER watches herself back on TV.

And Woods reckons it was her radio spell at talkSPORT that helped her come out of her shell as a presenter.
The ace told podcast: “I remember thinking ‘why do you want to be a presenter so much when you can’t read an auto-cue, you’ve got terrible memory, you’re not actually very confident at all’.
“And when you watch yourself back on screen I couldn’t stand it at all.
“I still can’t do it, I hate it. I find it really cringe and awkward. My voice sounds different, there’s loads of different things I don’t like.

“I didn’t understand, I was like you don’t have any of the tools to be a presenter, so then I started going down a different route, it was more off the cuff.
“I think that’s where I had my little breakthrough, I think that’s what works really well in TV and radio.
“They don’t really want you to be a puppet or a version of somebody else. They want to know who you are because they want to trust you and get to know you.
“I’ve really benefitted from that and I feel radio was massive for me. It gave me every opportunity to relax. You can’t be anyone other than yourself for four hours at 6am.”
