I’m a Ballon d’Or winner who dressed up as a DOUGHNUT on TV… now my daughter has more followers than me
MICHAEL OWEN won the Ballon d'Or before appearing on TV as a DOUGHNUT.
But even that hasn't helped him trump his daughter on Instagram.
The former Liverpool striker picked up the award in 2001 after helping the Reds win the Uefa Cup, FA Cup and League Cup.
He scored 36 goals for club and country during the year to pip Raul and Oliver Kahn to the trophy.
For England, the forward scored 40 goals in 89 caps after making his debut at just 18-years-old.
Those goals included four at the World Cup, having become England's youngest ever player and goalscorer at the tournament in 1998.

Owen later had spells with Real Madrid, Newcastle, Manchester United and Stoke before retiring in 2013 aged 33.
Now a TV pundit, he is also an ambassador for former club Liverpool.
However, he shocked fans last year by appearing on series three of The Masked Singer.
The former England international was the seventh contestant unmasked as he was revealed as "Doughnuts" after singing Everybody Get Up by Five during episode six.

Despite his appearance on the show, Owen has since been outshone by his famous daughter Gemma.
The influencer and dressage rider finished as a runner-up on Love Island in 2022 with her ex-boyfriend Luca Bish.
She now has 1.9million Instagram followers, who are regularly treated to glamorous snaps from the 20-year-old's life.
Meanwhile, her dad has almost four times less fans with 482,000 followers on the platform.
