Laura Woods forced to clarify picture as she poses under umbrella during TNT Sports coverage of Champions League
LAURA WOODS clarified that she was holding her pen as she posed for a picture at St James' Park.
The TNT Sports presenter was in Newcastle this week to present coverage of the Toon's Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund.
Woods is loving her new gig this season, and shared a photo of herself beaming as she posed under an umbrella at the iconic stadium.
Fans noticed a white object in her hand, with some thinking it looked like a cigarette as she held it between her fingers.
The 36-year-old was quick to get ahead of them, however, by immediately clarifying in her caption what the object really was.
She wrote: "Not bad this Champions League gig. (And that’s my pen before you ask)"

And a third quipped: "Champions league at 8pm, Amsterdam at 11pm."
Another added: "That’s not a pen, arms in a natural position."
Things seem to be going brilliantly for Woods at the moment.
Not only has she landed her dream job with TNT Sports.
But she also appears to have found love with former Love Island star Adam Collard.
Laura recently went official with Collard, who is a Geordie.
During coverage of Newcastle's match with Dortmund, former Toon star Les Ferdinand gave her a description of what to expect.
He told Woods it was "football, the wife and then work" up in the North East, leaving the presenter looking shocked at first.

Woods was then able to brilliantly respond as she jibed back: "What about the wife and work?"
Ferdinand then simply claimed that "football is everything" in the community.
