Man Utd legend Gary Neville gives Old Trafford damning new nickname as Ten Hag is dubbed ‘mood hoover’ by England icon
GARY NEVILLE has given Old Trafford an embarrassing new nickname after Manchester United’s recent poor form.
While England cricket icon Kevin Pietersen also took aim at the club’s manager in a damning post on X (formerly Twitter).
The pair have been left disappointed by the Man Utd’s torrid start to the season as they succumbed to a second 3-0 defeat in the space of four days at Old Trafford.
And former Red Devils hero Neville took a swipe at the team’s home record by labelling the affectionately known Theatre of Dreams as the “Theatre of nothing”.
Speaking on X after last night’s Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Newcastle, he said: “Last night we saw the Theatre of Dreams turn into the Theatre of Nothing. Every single United fan bored and flat.
"On the pitch the players in shock, the performances woeful and a manager struggling in front of our eyes.

“We’ve seen it before, we know how it ends and we’ve had enough."
Pressure is mounting on Erik ten Hag as his side have got off to Man Utd’s worst start in 61 years.
And cricket legend Pietersen seems to think that the Dutch boss is to blame for the terrible patch of form.
Speak on social media he wrote: “Clock now ticking for the mood hoover in the Premier League, Erik ten Hag.

The Man Utd boss himself has admitted that he feels sorry for fans of the club after he has been unable to re-track their off the rails season so far.
Speaking after the Newcastle defeat, he said: “We know it's not good enough. We have to take responsibility for it. I have to take responsibility for it.
“I feel sorry for the fans. It was below our standards and we have to put it right.
"We have to recover from it and we have to do it quickly. Saturday is the next game [against Fulham] and we have to raise our standards. This is not good enough."
While players such as Rasmus Hojlund have been forced to apologise to the supporters for their string of bad results.
