Man Utd line up £44m former Barcelona star to solve defensive woes with Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to be key in transfer
MANCHESTER UNITED are keen on signing Jean-Clair Todibo, according to reports.
The 23-year-old could be available for around £44million.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to purchase 25 per cent of Man Utd from the Glazers and the British billionaire could be vital in the move for Todibo.
That is because the centre-back plays for Nice, a club that Ratcliffe also owns.
Todibo has impressed across four seasons in Ligue 1 and has one senior cap for the France national team.
He was previously on the books of Barcelona as a teenager, playing just five times as he was loaned out to Schalke, Benfica and Nice before the deal to the latter was made permanent.
