  • Chelsea 2-1 Manchester City

41: City on the ropes! Chelsea are bursting forward at every opportunity. Raheem Sterling curls an effort wide.

  • Chelsea 2-1 Manchester City

39: What was that about Manchester City always winning this match 1-0? No goals against the Cityzens for 10 hours and then two come along at once.

  • Chelsea 2-1 Manchester City - Sterling

36: GOAL! Would you believe it! Turnaround complete at Stamford Bridge as former Manchester City star Raheem Sterling comes back to haunt his old club.

Gvardiol fails to deal with Cole Palmer's through ball for Reece James. The full-back pounces on the loose ball and whips it across the face of goal for Sterling to convert.

  • Chelsea 1-1 Manchester City

34: Phil Foden is on one today. That looked for all the world to be heading into the top right-hand corner. Rodri slips it wide for the England star, whose curling effort flies just wide of the post.

  • Chelsea 1-1 Manchester City

31: Phil Foden weaves his way past three Chelsea shirts and though the legs of Thiago Silva. The ball is stood up to the back post but Erling Haaland finds the side netting with his effort.

  • Chelsea 1-1 Manchester City - Silva

28: GOAL! Manchester City weren't ahead for long as Thiago Silva makes a diagonal run through to the near post to glance in Gallagher's corner. He's the first 39-year-old Premier League goalscorer since Ryan Giggs!

Cole Palmer was instrumental in that when blocking off Erling Haaland. Very cute from the young man. This place is absolutely bouncing now.

  • Chelsea 0-1 Manchester City

27: Ironic cheers for referee Anthony Taylor as Enzo Fernandez is brought down. Reece James is stood over it… SAVE! Ederson makes a one-handed stop to prevent the England international from levelling things up. Corner to the hosts…

  • Chelsea 0-1 Manchester City

25: Mauricio Pochettino is sat on the Chelsea bench watching the incident. He gets to his feet shaking his head.

There clearly was a tug on Erling Haaland, but the Manchester City striker did just the same. Six of one?

  • Chelsea 0-1 Manchester City - Haaland (pen)

24: Of course he scores. Erling Haaland keeps his composure and sends Robert Sanchez the wrong way with a cool finish. It's advantage City here at Stamford Bridge.

  • PENALTY TO MANCHESTER CITY

21: Marc Cucurella and Erling Haaland are wrestling at the back post. The defender tugs Haaland's shirt as the ball is played in and the Norwegian hits the deck.

The Manchester City striker actually tugs the shirt first, but VAR have given it.

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

19: James and Palmer combine nicely down the right before Fernandez's attempted pass rebounds nicely for Gallagher, who fizzes an effort straight down Ederson's throat.

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

16: Not too sure why the Manchester City fans are signing "Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that." Short memories perhaps.

City have themselves a free-kick around 30 yards from goal. It's played short before Rodri threads it through to Julian Alvarez, whose slammed effort is blocked behind for a corner by Cucurella.

Gvardiol heads tamely straight at Sanchez.

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

13: Chelsea goal up some pressure before breaking upfield. Reece James releases Cole Palmer down the right but he opts for the shot and it's blocked.

Just the ten hours of play since Chelsea scored a goal against Manchester City. Ouch.

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

10: Ok, ten minutes gone and I think we've got a game on our hands here, folks.

Chelsea certainly aren't wilting or allowing the visitors to dictate things. The line is high and the press is full of conviction - Poch will be happy enough. Just have to sustain this for 80 minutes now…

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

7: Nice link up between Sterling and Cucurella to win a corner down the left channel fo Chelsea, but it's rather wasted as Ederson claims it with a minimum of fuss.

City win a corner of their own shortly after. Referee Anthony Taylor has to halt the delivery to have a word with Moisés Caicedo, who is only looking at Erling Haaland and not the ball. Again, poor corner.

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

6: Manchester City average 63% possession, and Chelsea average 61% possession in the Premier League this season -- the two highest in the division.

Nicolas Jackson looks to release Raheem Sterling with a smart flick but Kyle Walker's wise to it. Cole Palmer then tracks back to prevent Bernardo Silva from winning a corner.

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

3: Good move from Chelsea to get things going. Reece James ploughs down the right channel to receive the ball from Enzo Fernandes but his efforts is blocked.

    Nice positive start.

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

1: OK, we're underway at Stamford Bridge folks.

  • Chelsea 0-0 Manchester City

Remembrance Day. We will have a minute's silence before kick-off to remember the fallen. The Chelsea pensioners are out on the pitch with poppy wreaths and the Last Post is played.

  • In the tunnel

Chelsea and Manchester City players are lined up now. Brazilian compatriots Thiago Silva and Ederson are having a chat and a hug.

I think we know what Roy Keane would say about that.

  • Battles

There's going to be some fantastic battles all over the pitch today, but livewire Jeremy Doku up against fit-again Reece James should be fairly epic.

Doku became the youngest player to rack up four assists in a Premier League game last weekend, and he's carried the ball roughly 100m more than any other top-flight player this season.

  • Berba-tips

Sorry for the pun, I'm off on holiday tomorrow and scraping the barrel for inspiration. Lapland if you're wondering…

In any case, Dimitar Berbatov is backing Manchester City for a comprehensive 3-1 win today. That will break a run of FOUR 1-0 Premier League wins for City in this fixture. Memories, eh?

He told : "Chelsea had a win against Spurs but that was against nine men. They must be concentrating at all times against City, because there's a lot of things they have to work on. They let the opposition score too easily, and Man City have some of the best attackers in the world.

"If Chelsea don't concentrate, then any Man City player has the ability to score, and I see them winning the game. Chelsea are still finding their feet under Pochettino and that is tough when Man City come to town.

    "Chelsea 1-3 Man City"

  • Patience with Palmer

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is understandably keen to keep expectations realistic when it comes to playmaker Cole Palmer.

He told Sky Sports: "It's too soon to talk to much. He's still young but he's a very talented player. He has to mature and have more experience but his profile is very good and he has the capacity to be our playmaker with the way he links the team.

"He's an important player for us but we can't talk to much. We need to give him time to learn and to improve. In a few years, let's then see if he's the big player that we want."

Most progressive passes in the Premier League by the way. One for the nerds.

  • Full Time

The early kick-offs are over folks. Brighton killing accas all over the place these days.

    • Aston Villa 3-1 Fulham
    • Brighton 1-1 Sheffield United
    • Liverpool 3-0 Brentford
    • Wets Ham 3-2 Nottingham Forest

Liverpool's win puts them on 27 points, level with Manchester City and Arsenal in the table. Can City grab that three-point cushion this afternoon?

Just four points from a possible 15 in the Premier League for Brighton over the last five outings. Those Europa League commitments are certainly starting to have an affect on Roberto De Zerbi's side.

  • Colwill out

As mentioned, there's no Levi Colwill in the Chelsea squad today. He's carrying an injury, and will therefore be unlikely to feature for England during the international break.
