England fans left fuming as captain Harry Kane is booked for DIVE after ‘stonewall penalty’ – and there IS VAR
ENGLAND captain Harry Kane was booked for DIVING against Malta.
But Three Lions fans were left wondering why VAR didn't intervene, with some calling it a "stonewall penalty."
Kane saw yellow in the 30th minute after a collision with the opposition goalie at Wembley on Friday night.
Henry Bonello came rushing out as Kane attempted to dribble the ball past him.
And there appeared to be contact as Malta's stopper dived into Kane's feet.
The Bayern Munich star collapsed to the ground, waving his arms in protest as he awaited the ref's whistle for a penalty.

But official Luis Godinho saw things differently.
Instead of blowing for a spot-kick, he instead walked towards Kane with his arms pointed.
Godinho then produced a yellow card and held it to Kane's face, leaving the England skipper in shock.
Three Lions teammates quickly gathered round to protest their captain's innocence.

And England fans quickly gathered on social media to condemn Kane’s booking.
One said: “How is that a yellow card for Kane?”
Another declared: “That was a stonewall penalty.”
One noted: “Never a yellow for Kane.”
Another added: “It’s a clear penalty, not even sure what the counter-argument would be.”
