  • Madd for it

Arsenal legend Ian Wright trolled Tottenham star James Maddison after going berserk following his former club's late winner against Luton Town.

Wright was on punditry duty for Optus Sport, who tweeted out his reaction after Declan Rice's late following the Gunners' 4-3 win at Luton.

After going mad over the goal, the ex-England international sat down to show the panel what he had been looking at on his phone.

Wright said: "Look at this! Look what I was just looking at."

The former striker then pulled up an article he had been reading on how Maddison had described Rice as a "top player" and "hated" him moving to the Emirates this summer.

The 60-year-old pulled up the article and quoted Maddison saying "I hate that he plays for Arsenal" before breaking out into a hearty laugh.

  • Ben White's iconic interview

Arsenal fans were left in stitches after watching Ben White's most recent post-match interview following the team's dramatic 4-3 win at Luton Town.

When ex-Norway star Jan Aage Fjortoft asked White about the Gunners' habit of winning games late, he replied: "Winning in any concept… It's a hard place to come and we've come and got three points which is difficult."

Fjortoft then went on to question the defender about the North Londoners' struggles with defending set-pieces, to which the he responded: "We knew they were going to be a threat from set-pieces and we didn't manage to nullify that, but when you win like that it makes up for it."

And at the end of the interview, the England international was asked about the difference between Arsenal last season and this season.

The 26-year-old then gave a blunt seven-word response, stating: "I guess you'll find out, I suppose."

  • Arsenal target ‘next Thomas Muller’

Arsenal are targeting Hajduk Split star Rokas Pukstas ahead of the January transfer window.

Pukstas has been likened to Bayern Munich legend Thomas Muller for his ability to sniff out chances and fulfil a variety of roles.

The attacking midfielder is the son of a former Lithuanian Olympic athlete and came through the Sporting Kansas City youth set-up.

The American star also spent time at Barcelona's only stateside academy before moving to Europe.

The 19-year-old made swift progress through the Hajduk youth teams and impressed dozens of scouts from major clubs when he scored in last season's UEFA Youth League semi-final win over AC Milan.

  • Fans Gunner celebrate

Arsenal fans have been left in hysterics after a clip of their supporters celebrating went viral after the Premier League clash with Luton Town.

The Gunners maintained their spot at the top of the Premier League table with a dramatic 4-3 victory on Tuesday.

Declan Rice headed home a last-gasp winner in front of the travelling fans that went crazy as the ball hit the back of the net at Kenilworth Road.

The mass celebration sent limbs everywhere and many in the front row moved forward to get closer to the players in front of them.

And nothing was going to stop them as one man went through the advertising boards.

As some sprinted towards their heroes on the pitch and were removed by stewards, one fan fell to the floor but he seemed completely unfazed as his celebrations carried on.

  • Arteta on Tomiyasu

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta confirmed ";it’s not good news" for Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Tomiyasu suffered a recent calf injury.

We had a scan and it’s not good news.

He’s got an injury in his calf and he’s going to be out for a while.

  • Tom to reflect

Arsenal ace Takehiro Tomiyasu will be out of action over the jam-packed Christmas period.

Tomiyasu limped off in the closing stages in the Gunners' 2-1 win against Wolves after sustaining a calf injury.

There was hope the full-back would be passed fit to feature at the Premier League clash against Luton Town on Tuesday but was left out of the squad altogether.

Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the Japan international's blow after their last-minute 4-3 win at Luton.

  • Henry praises Saliba

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has claimed William Saliba is “the best defender by a mile” in the Premier League despite Luton Town scoring three past him.

Right now I think he [Saliba] is [the best], by a mile. The way he can defend a 1v1, the way he allows Arsenal to stay higher [up the pitch] and defend the 45-50 yards behind him is second to none.

His speed, the way he recovers, and when he recovers the ball he doesn't just kick it into the stands - he tries to get it back [to his team-mates] which is important.

I was working in France when he was on loan to Marseille and I was surprised that Arsenal didn't keep him because I thought he was better than what we had.

But he went on loan and he came back and he showed everybody that that was a mistake and now he's now the best defender in the league.

  • The big shirt

The Premier League’s computer system allowed an unusual kit clash between Luton Town and Arsenal at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday.

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted that Luton and the Gunners appeared to be wearing virtually identical shorts.

The hosts' black shorts looked no different on TV from the similar colours worn by the North Londoners.

With Luton wearing orange shirts and socks and the visitors dressed in mainly yellow, the two strips were surprisingly closely aligned.

  • Timber injury latest

Arsenal ace Jurrien Timber has issued an update on his potential return from injury.

Timber has been out since the opening weekend of the season after signing from Ajax in the summer with a knee injury.

But the centre-back has revealed he hopes to return for the Gunners before the end of the campaign.

Timber told the club’s matchday show: “I’m making good progress. It won’t be the whole season [out], I hope, I know it’s going well.

“It’s hard at the same time, but I’m doing my best, working hard, and just enjoying being busy.”

  • Arsenal's Palhinha interest

Arsenal have joined the transfer war for Fulham star Joao Palhinha ahead of the January transfer window.

According to The Telegraph, several Premier League teams are after Palhinha including Liverpool, Manchester United and the Gunners.

Bayern Munich are also likely to come back for the midfielder they almost landed in the summer.

The North Londoners need to sell players before they buy more in January.

That is why Thomas Partey may be sold in the New Year with Juventus showing strong interest.

  • Arteta rules out Ramsdale move

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has ruled out a potential January transfer for Aaron Ramsdale, who has been linked with Newcastle and Chelsea.

I am very happy to have two very, very good goalkeepers and Aaron is staying with us.

    I want him with us.

Like every other player, he wants to play for Arsenal and we want to be better as a team, so we want to add to what we already have in January and that is our intention.

  • Set the Tone

Ivan Toney sent Arsenal fans into meltdown with a social media post on Tuesday night.

The Brentford striker seemed to thoroughly enjoy Arsenal's thriller with Luton last night.

And some fans think he would be open to signing for the Gunners.

  • Gift of the Gab

Gabriel Jesus has never lost a Premier League match that he has scored in with both Man City and Arsenal.

    • 58 matches
    • 53 wins
    • 5 draws
    • 0 defeats
  • Raya vs Ramsdale

One of Mikel Arteta's most controversial moves since becoming Arsenal boss was to drop Aaron Ramsdale for David Raya.

The Spaniard did not cover himself in glory for two of Luton's three goals last night with his unconvincing form continuing despite Arsenal having the best defence in the Premier League.

As the goalkeeper debate continues at the Emirates, SunSport have looked at the stats and crunched the numbers to compare Ramsdale to Raya.

  • Mystic Mourinho

Three years ago Arsenal suffered a 2-0 North London derby defeat to Spurs.

Mikel Arteta was under pressure at the time but the Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho clearly saw something special about the Gunners.

He said after beating winning the game: "I believe with these players, with Mikel, Arsenal will be Arsenal again.”

  • P-Rice is right

Arsenal fans have hilariously joked about setting up a GoFundMe page to pay West Ham MORE for Declan Rice.

The Gunners forked out a club-record £105m to sign the England international this summer.

And he has enjoyed a brilliant start to life at the Emirates Stadium in his first few months for the club.

Following his match-winning display against Luton, one fans posted a link on social media that read: “Go Fund Me to pay West Ham an extra £25m for Declan Rice.

“In light of the unfortunate robbery of West Ham United. We are asking Arsenal fans to come together to raise funds for West Ham United to compensate the underpayment of Declan Rice."

  • Mad Hatters

Fans had to double-take last night after spotting a TV star sat on Luton Town's bench.

Many were in disbelief when a shot of the Hatters bench showed Dr. Amos Ogunkoya, who appeared in The Traitors, sitting behind boss Rob Edwards.

He works as the club's doctor.

  • Clean sweep

Victory against Luton now means Mikel Arteta has recorded a victory over all 25 teams he has faced as Arsenal boss.

And Bukayo Saka set up Gabriel Martinelli's goal, meaning that the 22-year-old has scored or assisted against every Prem side he has played against.

  • Well wishes

Messages are flooding in for Takehiro Tomiyasu with him set to be sidelined for some time with a calf injury.

Fans wrote on Instagram: "Stay strong Tomi, see you on the pitch again soon."

Another added: "Get well soon warrior."

A third commented: "Love you Tomi." Get well soon"

  • Tomiyasu injured

Takehiro Tomiyasu looks set to miss the festive period due to a calf issue.

Mikel Arteta confirmed the blow yesterday, which is the Japanese international's latest setback after suffering from several injuries last and this season.

Tomiyasu wrote on Instagram: "I’m sick of being an injured but I believe this is the opportunity to be much stronger."

  • No glove lost

Aaron Ramsdale was caught on camera laughing moments after David Raya conceded against Luton.

He firstly failed to claim a cross when stepping off his line for Elijah Adebayo's equaliser moments after half-time.

The 28-year-old then failed to deal with a low shot from Ross Barkley and saw the former Chelsea star's shot squirm through his body as he tried to save it.

TV coverage of the game picked up Ramsdale appearing to laugh on the bench after showing replays of the goal.

There is no suggestion Ramsdale was actually laughing at the error.

  • 'Ed in hands

Devastated Luton boss Rob Edwards said: “That feels like a real kick in the teeth. I didn’t know what to say to the lads at the end.

“Football is about entertainment and tonight we gave everything, but it’s also my job to get points and tonight we’ve just come up short.

“We made it a really uncomfortable night for Arsenal. We tried to make it chaotic and we were brave and asked a lot of questions of them.

“We showed a lot of character to twice come back from behind and take the lead and we showed spirit and fight to keep going after giving away another early gift goal.”

  • Decked

Declan Rice said this after his match-winning goal: "What a game.

"To score the winner is an honour and these are the moments that you look back on in your career.

“But we cannot get too carried away because Arsenal were eight points clear last season and didn’t win the League.

“We have new players like me coming in and learning so it’s just about not worrying about any other teams and getting three points each week.”

  • Arteta's post-match thoughts

"It was a special night. The resilience, the character, the quality and the desire to win that we showed was great.

"We are playing every three days and the demands are there that we have to win every game. But the way these players go about it and how much they want it makes me very proud.

"We never want to accept a draw. You can sense the drive and the risk and emotion that we put into every game.

"Declan had another incredible game. The leadership and the quality he is showing is getting better and better every week.

"And then he gets into the opponent’s box and smells the opportunity to get the ball in the back of the net.”
