  • You tease…

Asked how soon he intends to return, Jake Paul said: "We've got an announcement next week."

  • What's next?

Asked what's next on the horizon, Paul added: "More boxing prospects, more experience, more time in the ring under the bright lights and staying active.

"I'm focused on being the best in the world, and creating one of the best sports stories in the history of sports. From being on the Disney Channel and not knowing how to throw a jab three years ago, to world champion.

"It's incredible to inspire these young people or anyone out there to chase their dreams, and no matter where you start or when - you can peruse it and rise to the top."

  • "I manifested this"

Jake Paul is absolutely delighted with that early stoppage, and he's certain that he's silenced his critics.

Paul said: "I said First Round knockout all week. I manifested this, this is the power of manifestation.

"I said I needed to bring back the old Problem Child - I've been too nice by letting these opponents go into the later rounds. I set up my shot and he went night night.

"I'm silencing my critics. Everyone that has something to say about me. 'Oh he can't do this, he can't sell, he's not big, what is he doing fighting this guy?' Shut the f*** up.

"I don't know what I proved tonight. I'm just going to do me. This is all part of the process in the next step to become the world champion. Clearly these guys can't handle me.

"What's next? It's going to be even bigger."

  • Bang

  • Celebrations

That took about 140 seconds by my watch. Jake Paul has been saying all week that he's going to deliver a first-round knockout - and he's clearly a man of his word.

His team pile into the ring to celebrate. Andre August made a very quick exit indeed.

  • Jake Paul vs Andre August - Round 1

Ding Ding! Jake Paul said he'd been working on his footwork a lot during this camp, and he's bouncing all over the place here. Nice and light on his feet as he gets behind his jab and works the body of Andre August.

IT'S OVER!!! JAKE PAUL WINS BY KO!!!

Jake Paul pokes August with the jab before delivering a thunderous upper-cut to send his opponent to the floor.

  • Styles make fights

Jake Paul has shown a steady improvement. He's throwing more punches. His recent fight against Nate Diaz saw him up his punch volume into the 50s -- which is around the Cruiserweight average.

He's jabbing nice and setting up one of those big right hands that can be so devastating.

As for August, his last victory came against Brandon Martin.

Martin is 6ft 4" - much taller than 5ft 10" August, who went to the body early and landed over 30 body punches in the opening round.

  • Jake ringwalk

I was expecting a motivational anthem for Jake Paul's entry. I certainly did not expect that.

He danced his way to the ring to Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee…

Yes, it's bizarre. Or is this just the Jake Paul experience?

  • "Money doesn't create legacy"

He's certainly saying the right things to get the respect of the boxing community.

Jake Paul had a lot of things to say at his press conference ahead of this contest (as you can imagine), and he's quite adamant that he intends create history in the sport.

"The biggest criticism is that I should fight a real boxer. And it's time to answer that, show up and put it all on the line.

"All the Influencer s*** and MMA s*** is cool, draws big PPV numbers, is fun and there's more s*** talk. But none of that was really my goal.

"Money doesn't create legacy. This is my road to world champion, and it's about getting the experience under the bright lights to be able to compete at the highest level.

"It would create one of the greatest sports stories in history. To go from Disney Channel to world champion in less than six years - that's why I'm here."

  • National anthems

Big fan of Raiche Wright doing the US national anthem. Chants of "USA, USA, USA," followed of course.

OK, Andre August's ring walk is beginning now. Quite difficult to decipher how he's feeling. He's been quiet and not giving anything away with his facial expressions - good Poker player I'll bet.

  • Logan predicts

I'm sure you're all dying to hear what Logan Paul thinks will happen tonight.

And GUESS WHAT… he thinks his little brother is going to win.

    Didn't see it coming.

He said: "I think Jake's going to f*** this guy up. This guy seems nervous and he's not in his element. I predict a 3rd Round Jake Paul knockout."

  • Jake's ready

We've just seen a few shots of Jake Paul ready to go backstage. He looked very focused right up until his brother Logan decided to put him on his shoulders and walk around the room.

  • Creed

The only Creed I'm familiar with is from The Office US.

But I hear there's a boxing movie franchise with Michael B. Jordan that's nearly as popular.

The Creed films have featured a number of high-profile boxers including Tony Bellew, Andre Ward, Gabriel Rosado, and Canelo Alvarez.

Asked about featuring in a possible fourth Creed film, Jake Paul replied: 'Easy Work.'

  • Easy night

Jake Paul doesn't think he'll run into too many issues tonight. In fact he doesn't think his opponent is even capable of landing a punch.

"I doubt he’s even going to land a punch," Paul said at the pre-fight press conference.

"That's really what it is. Sloppy feet, all that… I’m going to just dust him up real quick, and you’re going to see who the better boxer is.

"I'm going to pick him apart and show the world I'm the better boxer at the end of the day. And look for that knockout. It's been too long without a knockout, so I'm going to try to deliver that for the fans at home."

  • Odds

    No surprises here really.

Jake Paul is available at 1/8 to clinch the win via any method, while Andre August is a fairly sizeable 5/1 chance to win this contest.

For context Luton Town are the same odds to beat Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium tomorrow.

So, not beyond the realms of possibility.

Saying that, I think I'd rather back rock-bottom Sheffield United to beat billion-pound Chelsea tomorrow at 9/1. I won't waste your time explaining why…

  • Franchon Crews Dezurn beats Shadasia Green on points

It's unanimous. Congratulations to Franchon Crews Dezurn on her points victory. The WBC super-middleweight world title is in her possession. Now let's never speak of that fight again.

We've nearly made it, folks. Jake Paul and Andre August are coming up next!

  • Shadasia Green vs Franchon Crews Dezurn

Crews-Dezurn is likely ahead on the card here, mainly through sheer force of will and punch volume. She's smothering Shadasia Green at every opportunity and working the body well. One round remaining…

  • I had a vision

Some Mystic Meg stuff here, folks. Mystic Meg? Keeping things nice and current on this blog...

Anyway, Jake Paul has predicted the outcome of this contest, and had a vision of Andre August clinging to the ropes.

He said: "I'd be surprised if he made it past the First Round.

"I had a vision where I did him bad, and he's on the ropes like this [gestures splayed out]. I didn't see the punch, I just saw the aftermath."

  • Shadasia Green vs Franchon Crews Dezurn

I'm honesty struggling to find anything to write in this contest. It's so, so sloppy. Neither fighter has connected and we've only got five rounds remaining.

  • Shadasia Green vs Franchon Crews Dezurn

The two-minute rounds are coming thick and fast here. We've reached Round 4 and it's a fairly even contest. Crews Dezurn is the aggressor and has definitely thrown the majority of punches, but nothing damaging landed.

Not a classic by any means.

  • Next up?

As ever with boxing, we're always more interested about the next fight.

And it's no different with Jake Paul.

Assuming the American wins this evening, there's already chat (and by chat I mean everyone pleading) we'll see the long-awaited showdown with KSI.

    I think that's unlikely.

KSI hasn't committed to fighting again, but is taking on YouTube rival IShowSpeed in a sparring session today.

Jake Paul's team proposed a $50m winner-takes-all fight vs KSI at 180lbs, but the last we heard from KSI was "Yeah, he ain’t got any hype anymore. I ain’t wasting my time to fight him lol."

  • Shadasia Green vs Franchon Crews Dezurn

She's got my vote. Shadasia Green enters to The Undertaker's theme from WWE. Pretty sensational. If Franchon Crews Dezurn entered to Kane's theme song I could die a happy man.

Franchon Crews Dezurn has actually arrived wearing… I don't know how to describe it really. A feathered mask and robe essentially.

  • Co-main event next

We've got a title on the line, folks.

Shadasia Green and Franchon Crews Dezurn clash for the vacant WBC super-middleweight world title.

And I hear there's been a lot of bad blood between the pair. Quite a lot of animosity during their stare down yesterday too.

Now, apparently Franchon Crews Dezurn spit on Shadasia Green during some boxing event back in 2016. She didn't deny it or apologies during the press conference yesterday.

    So who knows…

  • Betting offer

Social media sensation Jake Paul is back, as you well know.

And brand new Betfair customers can back Paul at an enormous 35/1 to win the contest tonight -- that's boosted from 1/7!

If you fancy a bit of that, you can claim the offer right HERE.

  • Bad optics

Always about the optics with these guys…

Logan Paul doesn't sound too happy about this fight. He's worried about some "no-name" causing an upset and ruining his brother's record.

He said: "I think his name is... August.

"Jake wants to build his resume, give the fans an experience, and he wants to really be a boxer so he's fighting a real boxer.

"This dude's 10-1, he's a beast! He hits hard and he's fast. I get what Jake's doing but you've got to win.

"If this no-name comes in and starts f up your record and what you are trying to build for the rest of your life… I don't like the optics of that."
