David Alaba suffers horror injury as medics rush on and Real Madrid players hold heads in hands
REAL MADRID are facing more injury hell after David Alaba suffered a horror setback on Sunday.
Team-mates were left holding their heads in their hands after the Austrian defender twisted his knee in the 4-1 win over Villarreal.
Alaba's leg appeared to buckle and bend the wrong way, with the centre-back immediately crying out for help from medics.
His Real Madrid pals looked distraught as Alaba received treatment, with claiming many had their "heads in their hands".
Alaba then limped off the pitch while being unable to put any weight on the problematic leg.
And Carlo Ancelotti now faces an extremely anxious wait over the severity of Alaba's setback.

Real are already without goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and fellow defender Eder Militao this campaign.
Both players suffered season-ending ACL injuries.
And Alaba will be ruled out for the rest of the term if scans show he too has ruptured his cruciate ligament.
But with Vinicius Jr, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga also sidelined right now, Ancelotti will be praying for a miracle.
Thirty-one-year-old Alaba has been at Real since 2021 following a free transfer from Bayern Munich.
Alaba has scored five goals in 101 games for Los Blancos, helping himself to a league title and Champions League in the process.
Before Real, he netted 33 times in 431 games at Bayern.
Alaba won TEN Bundesligas and two European crowns in Germany.
He is also a star player for Austria, winning 105 caps and scoring 15 goals.
