Several Premier League sides are set to lose key players with the iconic tournament, which starts on January 13, running during the season.
Mohamed Salah will miss crucial games in Liverpool's title challenge as the winger will likely captain Egypt at Afcon 2023.
The 31-year-old star will be determined to end his country's 14-year wait for continental success, having lost on penalties to Senegal in the 2021 final.
Manchester United will also be left without a goalkeeper with Andre Onana set to appear in between the sticks for Cameroon - Erik ten Hag will be forced to turn to Altay Bayindir.

When is the African Cup of Nations
- The 34th African Cup of Nations will get underway on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
- It was originally scheduled to take place during the Northern Hemisphere's summer but was moved because of weather concerns.
- The tournament kept its name - Afcon 2023 - for sponsorship reasons, despite taking place in 2024.
