Iconic football stadium bigger than Wembley unrecognisable as half-destroyed wreck with locals saddened
THE iconic Nou Camp is virtually unrecognisable as it looks half-destroyed in the midst of it's remodel.
The historic home of Barcelona is one of the most famous stadiums in the world.
First built in 1957, it’s played host to numerous legendary matches in front of a bumper crowd of nearly 100,000 people.
But it's currently left empty while it undergoes a HUGE £1BILLION renovation project to modernise the facilities.
The construction has seen the third tier of the stadium completely removed and all the seats ripped up while it sits surrounded by dust and cranes.
The work has also forced Barcelona away from the stadium with Xavi's side playing their home fixtures at the Estadi Lluis Companys Stadium this season.
