Lingard offered lifeline
Former Manchester United ace Jesse Lingard has been offered a career lifeline by Lille, where he would reunite with ex-team-mate Angel Gomes.
Lingard has been without a club since leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer.
According to The Mirror, the French giants are interested in snapping up the versatile midfielder, who continues to keep himself sharp by training at local pitches.
Paulo Fonseca’s side includes stars Nabil Bentaleb, Jonathan David, Samuel Umtiti as well as Gomes.
Fernandes hails Rashford
Bruno Fernandes has hailed Marcus Rashford for his performance against Aston Villa.
He told MUFC: “Marcus [Rashford] was pretty dangerous.
“I think for the first two goals he was involved and even the one that was offside.
“He was involved in everything today, pressurising [the Villa team] too.
“I think we could have got a few more balls in behind to Marcus, because we know the pace he has and the movement he has,” added our captain.
“If we were better with the long pass, we could have got even more out of him.”
Unexpected crossover
Teen darts sensation Luke Littler hung out with Manchester United midfielder Donny Van De Beek at the World Darts Championship yesterday.
Van De Beek is set to leave the club imminently, with a loan to Eintracht Frankfurt already agreed.
Frankfurt then have the option to make the deal permanent in the summer for £9.5million.
Got Carra'd away
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was left red-faced after having a cheeky pop at Manchester United before their 3-2 win over Aston Villa..
Carragher made the comment on X with United 2-0 down at half-time to Villa.
The ex-England international posted: "Liverpool drawing at home to Man Utd is their worst result of the season."
It referenced the goalless draw earlier this month where the Reds failed to score despite taking 34 shots at Andre Onana's goal.
The Red Devils looked to be dead and buried at half-time against the Villans but were able to mount a stunning comeback.
Var Var boom
Manchester United ace Raphael Varane has been offered a shock escape route from Old Trafford by his former club Lens.
SunSport reported previously how Varane had been made available for a transfer away amid interest from Saudi Arabia after he slipped down the pecking order.
And according to , Real Madrid have zero interest in signing their ex-centre-back.
But another one of his former clubs have allegedly emerged as contenders to try and snap the France international up.
have stated that Lens are also in the running for the 30-year-old.
More from Hojlund
Manchester United ace Rasmus Hojlund revealed how he felt after scoring his first ever Premier League goal.
It was nice. Of course, I was happy. You can see the relief in my celebration as well, but also the feeling of being the match winner and getting the three points at home against a good opponent. I'm a lucky and happy man.
Like I said, I try to focus on my game every day. I don't listen to the media. If I did, I would be crazy.
I just focus on my game, focus on winning football matches for Manchester United, focus on becoming better in front of goal and all the other attributes as well
Rasmus HojlundRasmus Hojlund on first goal
Manchester United ace Rasmus Hojlund admits the pressure of being main striker could drive him crazy if he let it.
I try not to focus too much about the media. If I did that, I would get crazy in my head.
I just try to focus on my game and try to be better at the training pitch every day. The hard work pays off.
Of course, there is a relief to score my first Premier League goal, but it isn't like I haven't scored goals; I've scored five in the Champions League.
So, I was very happy and you can see the relief in my celebration.
Rasmus HojlundMore on Hojlund
Manchester United hero Paul Parkjer shared some advice for Rasmus Hojlund after scoring his first ever Premier League goal against Aston Villa.
Parker told :
I actually think he could benefit from being more selfish. He should tell [Marcus] Rashford and [Alejandro] Garnacho to give him the ball every time they have the opportunity.
He is the best player on the team, so they should give him the ball all the time, just like we gave the ball to Eric Cantona all the time when I played.
I think he might face a tough time now. If you think the critics will be quiet, you are mistaken.
Expectations are higher for him now, and everyone will expect him to score consistently.
So, I believe that the next goal, if possible, will be even more important but also more challenging for him because he has to prove that it wasn't a lucky punch.
Paul ParkerParker on Hojlund
Manchester United hero Paul Parker claims people want Rasmus Hojlund to fail because he "plays for the world's biggest club".
Parker told :
Everyone hates Manchester United and Rasmus Højlund.
Experts and critics hope that he fails because he plays for the world's biggest club, which nobody likes.
The good thing is that the fans have always supported him, and they will continue to do so.
I think he has been frustrated with his team-mates because they don't provide him with the best conditions to score goals.
The good thing about Hojlund is that he doesn't show it on the field, and he never behaves like a diva, which we have seen especially Cristiano Ronaldo do in the past.

Last France saloon
Former Manchester United ace Jesse Lingard has been offered a career lifeline by Lille, where he would reunite with former team-mate Angel Gomes.
Lingard has been a free agent since leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer.
According to The , the French giants are interested in snapping up the versatile midfielder, who continues to keep himself fit by training at local pitches.
Paulo Fonseca’s side includes Nabil Bentaleb, Jonathan David, Samuel Umtiti as well as Gomes.
On the Marc
Lionel Messi has allegedly “phoned” Manchester United glop Marcos Rojo to try and convince him to become the latest big-name recruit for Inter Miami.
Messi previously convinced David Beckham and the MLS side’s chiefs to bring in his former Barcelona pals Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
And then it was announced this month that Luis Suarez had become the fourth Barca legend to sign for the American club.
Now journalist Hernan Castillo of Continental 590 radio in Argentina says that Rojo could be next to sign.
The 33-year-old is a long-time team-mate of the seven time Ballon d'Or winner on the international stage and is currently playing for Boca Juniors back in his homeland.
Happy Evra after
Manchester United legend Patrice Evra had Gabby Logan and his fellow panellists in stitches after a cheeky comment following his former club's 3-2 win against Aston Villa.
Evra was covering the Premier League game for Amazon Prime Video and he was widely-mocked at half-time for stating that he was “happy” with his old team's performance.
However, the former left-back was the one laughing at full-time after Alejandro Garnacho grabbed a double while Rasmus Hojlund’s first Prem goal sealed the points late on.
Host Logan asked: “We must also pay homage to the rearguard action of United as well. There were some big moments there.”
Evra burst into laughter as he replied: “Which rearguard action?”
That led to sniggers from his colleagues while Logan looked visibly embarrassed and Evra continued: “When I’m with Gabby, she’s too posh. She speaks English, I’m French.”
'Awkward' Unai Emery interview
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery had an awkward interview after Manchester United's stunning 3-2 win over his team at Old Trafford.
United came back after being 2-0 down against Villa, who conceded three goals in the second half.
Emery issued an odd response when asked what went wrong for his team.
39 points, it's amazing... But now you're asking me in another direction.
Unai EmeryMan Utd comebacks?
Manchester United supporters can’t believe it was “sheer coincidence” two legends turned up at Old Trafford for the 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.
That was just days after Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed his 25 per cent takeover of United.
Many Red Devils fans were almost as delighted to see Edwin van der Sar and Robin van Persie as they were by the comeback win.
And plenty of them predict the duo are in line for roles under Ratcliffe.
Fans were especially thrilled to see Van der Sar following his health problems earlier this year.
Fernandes on Aston Villa comeback
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes revealed the game plan heading to the second half against Aston Villa before the hosts' amazing comeback at Old Trafford.
Everyone in the team understood we had to keep pushing and knew what we needed to do.
We knew if we could get the first goal of the second-half, we could change things.
We've been training a lot to get our chances and goals.
As a Man United player you know you're going to get criticised but you have to know how to deal with that and play at this level.
Bruno Fernandes
No special, Bru?
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has revealed that he questioned whether he was good enough before Tuesday's Premier League comeback against Aston Villa.
The belief has to be there, because if you don't believe in each other it's going to be difficult.
Obviously in these last moments there's going to be some disbelief, even in yourself. You start to think, ‘Am I even good enough to be here?’
It's normal when things are not going right. It's the way you overcome that and get results even when things are not going well.

Manchester United have been dealt a transfer blow in their attempts to sign Corinthians wonderkid Gabriel Moscardo.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona have also been linked with Moscardo in recent months.
But transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has dealt a blow to all of the midfielder's suitors.
Romano claims Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a £17million deal to sign the 18-year-old.
The deal will also see Corinthians receive £1.7million in add-ons, with the Brazil Under-23 international set to fly to Paris imminently to complete the transfer.
Ratcliffe's decision on Ten Hag
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has made a decision on Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag's future at the club.
Ten Hag is on a knife-edge due to a string of poor results this season, however Wednesday's comeback win over Aston Villa should have made things easier for him.
It's understood Ratcliffe contemplated axing the Dutch tactician if results don't improve.
According to Give Me Sport, however, Britain's richest man won't make a decision on the ex-Ajax boss' future until the end of the season.
Ratcliffe's transfer involvement
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is already involved in Manchester United's transfer business after his 25 per cent takeover.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, United must consult Ratcliffe's INEOS regarding every player transfer.
That is while the Red Devils' investment is being approved by the Premier League.
The same goes for the futures of manager Erik ten Hag and director of football John Murtough.
Graham Potter tip
Manchester United should hire Graham Potter as their new manager if they sack Erik ten Hag, says former player Tom Cleverley.
When it comes to Graham Potter, you don't know how someone's feeling; he might have needed a mental break. He's been in coaching for many, many years, but personally I think he's a top, top manager.
You see the rumours with United at the moment, and I personally believe that's the kind of level of club he belongs at.
You're seeing now how much Chelsea have struggled since he left, and the problem he was having there was that the team just wasn't putting the ball in the back of the net.
They were dominating possession, they were creating bags and bags of chances… they just couldn't score.
The decision, by Chelsea, to sack him looks premature now. I would certainly say they're in a worse position than they were with Potter.
Tom CleverleyRatcliffe to axe 300 jobs
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is considering streamlining the structure of Manchester United after taking over 25 per cent of the club.
United currently have 1,000 staff on the payroll and the new man has identified that this could be cut by up to 30 per cent.
It would be a bold move by Sir Jim and could go either way with the fans.
The INEOS owner is waiting for confirmation from the Premier League, which could take six to eight weeks.
Moving on unwanted players is key
Man Utd need to start shipping out players who the manager deems 'surplus to requirements'.
During the summer, United struggled to move these players on it cost them as they were not able to spend.
One such player is Jadon Sancho, who evidently is not part of the manager's plans.
Ensuring they find a new club for players such as this is key in transforming the squad at Old Trafford.
Goal could save United money in long run
Rasmus Hojlund's winning goal against Aston Villa, could save the club money in the long run.
While the club were considering whether they need more firepower up front, Hojlund could go on a scoring run after getting the monkey off his back of not scoring.
If he were to do so, the club could focus their spending in different aspects of the squad.
Boss makes huge claims after win
Erik ten Hag had a smile beaming from ear to ear when doing his media work after the Aston Villa win.
Talking about how they had turned the game around, after finding themselves two-nil down, the Dutch manager made a big claim.
"If we play our best, we can beat anyone, we have the personality to do it."
