Conor McGregor would be ‘great’ for WWE, claims Brock Lesnar’s manager and wrestling icon Paul Heyman
CONOR MCGREGOR would be "great for WWE" claims the manager of superstar Brock Lesnar.
Paul Heyman has even offered to manage the Notorious, who has long been linked with making the jump from MMA to sports entertainment.
With McGregor currently on hiatus with girlfriend Dee Devlin pregnant, the world awaits what the Irishman has planned next.
His last fight saw McGregor beat Eddie Alvarez to become the first two-weight world champion in UFC history.
A boxing match with Floyd Mayweather has long been mooted but it's unclear if that will materialise.
Heyman - who acts as the mouthpiece for Lesnar - thinks McGregor has a bright future in wrestling.
He told the WWE Network: “It’d be great if he was. He’s a main line box office attraction. He’s a headline news grabber.
"I think it’d be great for WWE and I think it would be even better for Conor McGregor."

McGregor caused a spin among other wrestlers when he hit out at the entire roster.
"I haven't really thought about [moving to WWE]," he said at the time.
"For the most part, those WWE guys are (expletive).
"To be honest, they're messed up (expletive) if you ask me.
"Fair play to Brock, he got in a fight but at the end of the day he's juiced up to the (expletive) eyeballs so how can I respect that?"
Wrestlers hit back at the Irishman - but Heyman said it was all part of a plan.
"Suckers. Hook, line and sink," said the WWE legend.
He added: "There are people mentioning him by name here using our platforms to promote him. He’s not mentioning anybody by name here.
"Why? Because he has a platform all of his own.
"That makes him a huge box office attraction, being promoted by other box office attractions that spend their equity talking about him.
"Kudos to him. He outsmarted everybody, except for me, except for Brock Lesnar."
Chief Operating Officer Triple H was at McGregor's last fight and admitted he would love him to sign up.
Ronda Rousey caused a huge stir when she appeared at WrestleMania 31 two years ago - she is still linked with a move to wrestling.
Heyman finished: "The smartest play for Conor McGregor is to become the very first Paul McHeyman guy.
"[WWE] that’s where I am right now. I’m not going to him, he’s going to have to come to me."
