LUKE HUMPHRIES couldn't help reacting as a rowdy Ally Pally crowd booed his stage walk before his brilliant World Championship final win.
Darts' world No1 showed he was up for the cupp-ing as he put his hands to his ears ahead of a thrilling 7-4 triumph over Luke Littler.
In response, 16-year-old Luke the Nuke smiled, looked down and focused on warming up.
Amazingly, Littler strode out as the bookies' favourite to beat Humphries.
He was a 50/1 title shot before the tournament and the youngest player ever to reach the last 16 - let alone get this far.
And Humphries, 28, appeared to take the crowd's preference for the Warrington whizkid in good heart.

He turned to clap all parts of the audience - but also cupped his ears.
Viewers enjoyed the build-up to what was a cracker - Littler starting slowly, then leading 4-2 before his English rival fought back to win.
One posted: "Luke Humphries in the spotlight! Let's see what he's got in store for us tonight!"
And as the frenzied atmosphere grew, another darts lover wrote: "Might be too much for The Nuke this!"

Humphries had also been booed during his third-round win over Germany's Ricardo Pietreczko.
But that was due to a large German influx backing their compatriot.
And before walking out to face Littler, Humphries had predicted: "I don't think that I'll get the same number of boos as I did against Ricardo.
"I think they'll want a fair game the crowd. They're going to want to see an amazing final, why wouldn't you?”
