  • Wigan 0-1 Man Utd

    23. Garnacho's cross comes in but Hojlund cannot get on the end of it.

It comes to Rashford at the back post, holding it up before laying it off towards Dalot on the edge of the box.

The full back bends an effort into the bottom corner, giving Tickle no chance in the Wigan goal.

  • Goal - Diogo Dalot (Man Utd)

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    21. Big chance for the visitors.

Fernandes plays it into McTominay who is on the move into the Wigan box.

He looks to side-foot it into the far corner but his effort goes narrowly wide of the post.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    19. Man Utd keep on taking their corners short, which seems a complete waste of Rashford being out there.

You would want an aerial threat like the United striker in the box to attack the goal.

Fernandes swings another one in but fails to beat the man at the near post.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    17. Jones is penalised for a handball as Wan-Bissaka kicks it against him.

The replay shows it was a poor decision by Anthony Taylor as it bounced up off the player's chest.

Fernandes plays it long towards Hojlund but it is headed away at the expense of a corner.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    15. Rashford picks up the ball on the edge of the box.

He drops his shoulder and manages to cut onto his right foot.

The United striker gets a good shot away but Tickle is equal to it with a great save.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    13. Wan-Bissaka plays the ball forward to Hojlund but he is dispossessed all too easily by the hosts.

Maloney's side are striding forward with an air of confidence.

Man Utd fans did not expect to see their team on the back foot so much in this game already.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    11. Fernandes is penalised for a foul in the middle of the park.

Aasgaard does well to hold the ball up as Tickle goes long.

United are certainly not stamping their authority on this game just yet, Wigan are looking comfortable.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    9. Tickle has his first touch of the ball this evening in the Wigan goal.

As the cross came in, United win the header but it loops up high in the air and is a routine catch under the crossbar.

Wigan counter and are able to stride into the Man Utd box once again but Mainoo makes a good challenge.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    7. Wigan are happy to pass the ball around, not phased by the opposition they face today.

Man Utd are seeing the lion's share of possession as you would expect.

As such, they have yet to find that pass in the final third to test the Wigan goal.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    5. It will be a concern how easily Wigan opened up the visitors there.

They had plenty of space and Aasgaard was unmarked at the back post.

It serves as an early warning for the Red Devils.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    3. First big chance of the game goes to Wigan.

They burst down the right with Clare who whips a cross into the back post.

Aasgaard meets it and strikes towards goal but Onana makes the save.

  • Wigan 0-0 Man Utd

    1. The visitors are massive favourites for this game.

Ten Hag's side start knocking the ball around, trying to stamp their authority on the game.

Wigan are not pressing, sitting deep when the visitors have possession.
