Kai Havertz's cross from the left is deflected up and over Alisson, once against taking the goalkeeper out of the equation.
It falls for Saka at the far post, and all he has to do is lift it back into the centre for the unmarked Odegaard - but he gets it all wrong, instead miscueing his cross out for a goalkick.

Arsenal work the free-kick brilliantly with the German forward running behind a two-man wall, and then clips over a cross that takes Alisson out of the game.
Gabriel and Saka are arriving, but when the former is unable to connect with a header, the latter is forced into an acrobatic twist of a volley over the crossbar.

First, Gomez goes close to his first goal for the club in what is his 199th appearance, and then Diaz almost picks out the run of Nunez with a quick centre.

The forward has the pace to get ahead of Gomez, but huge credit to the defender for sticking to the task and holding the Arsenal man up enough to ensure his eventual shot does not have enough power to test Alisson.

48. Havertz and Konate tussle on halfway, but referee Brooks looks nonplussed as both players writhe around on the turf.

The midfielder wins the ball back from Ben White by the defender's corner flag, and then makes him look extra foolish by flicking it back around him.

Brilliant pressing from Rice dispossesses Mac Allister, and that presents Odegaard with the opportunity to find Havertz on the edge of the area with a lovely reverse pass.
The German should take the shot on first time - or, at the very least, second time.
But fourth time of asking it is, by which point Liverpool have a crowd of defenders back to close the forward down.
