Barcelona are expected to be limited in the January transfer window due to Financial Fair Play.

However, the La Liga champions should be able to afford Lingard's wages.

Xavi has been forced to deal with several injury issues so far this season, so he is on the hunt for cheap additions.

Lingard joined Nottingham Forest as a free agent in July 2022 after being released by Man Utd.
