ANDRE ONANA will no longer be available for Cameroon’s opening Africa Cup of Nations match.

That’s after prioritising Manchester United’s crunch Premier League clash against Tottenham a day earlier.

Onana, 27, had ambitiously planned to feature in both games after struggling for form at his new club.

Cameroon kick off their Group C adventure against Guinea next Monday.

The game comes 24 hours after United host Tottenham at Old Trafford.

And it means Onana will miss Cameroon’s pre-AFCON training camp in the process.

However, Onana and his country’s FA have decided that the goalie will not be available to face Guinea.

Instead, the stopper will jet out to host nation Ivory Coast in a more leisurely fashion.

And he will instead be ready for Cameroon’s second game against rivals and current holders Senegal.

Onana had previously retired from international duty after quitting Cameroon’s World Cup camp following a bust-up with manager Rigobert Song.

He made a U-turn in September, two months after joining United from Inter Milan for £47million.

Onana has since played 29 times for the Red Devils.

But he has endured a dismal time between the sticks, conceding 45 goals while keeping just nine clean sheets.

Onana's absence means Altay Bayindir is likely to make his debut following a move from Fenerbahce last summer.

Tom Heaton is another option for United as they look to pick up their top four charge in the second half of the season.
