Gunners need to put a run together
Arsenal now need to put a string of results together.
Losing any of the games coming up undoes the good they did today when it comes to the title race.
Arteta's side need to become consistent as they cannot afford to drop any points.
Chelsea outcast puts in shift for Gunners
There seems to be an abundance of nearly-men heading from Stamford Bridge to The Emirates but one in particular shone today.
Jorginho controlled te midfielder for Mikel Arteta's side and put in a man of the match performance.
He played a huge part in their victory this afternoon.
Arsenal capture the moment
Against a lacklustre Liverpool, Mikel Arteta's side took full advantage.
The Gunners gifted The Reds a goal to get back into the game just before the break before the visitors imploded defensively.
Van Dijk and Alisson turned into 'The Chuckle Brothers' and the rest is history, Arsenal take all the points.
To me, to you.
FT: Arsenal 3-1 Liverpool
Despite the calamitous defensive error, the stats show that Liverpool did not do enough in the final third all game.
To only create one shot on target in 90 minutes of football is just not good enough.
Arsenal have taken a big step towards catching the league leaders.

The referee brings the game to a close.
Liveprool's defensive horror show has cost them dear.
It is The Gunners who celebrate in North London.

Klopp's side will just want to get this over and go home.
Havertz is shown a yellow card for knocking the linesman's flag out of his hand.
Arsenal 3-1 Liverpool
90+2. It is debatable whether that will be given to Trossard.
His shot was going nowhere near the goal until it struck the bottom of Van Dijk's boot and through Alisson's legs.
What a shocking second half it has been for that pair.
Goal - Leandro Trossard (Arsenal)
Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool

It seems unthinkable that they could get a goal now.

Elliott offers another option and Liverpool play the ball clear.
There are too many stray passes for The Reds at the moment.
Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool
84. What a chance for Arsenal to kill the game off.
As the ball is clipped into the box, Kiwior is completely unmarked in the six yard box.
He heads it straight at Alisson, either side of him was a goal.
Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool
82. Whenever they get the ball now, Arsenal are looking to run the clock down.
They seem to have given up on the idea of scoring another.
If Liverpool get a goal here, they could live to regret this.

Time is ticking away for the league leaders.
As things stand, they are facing only their second defeat of the season.
Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool

It is ridiculous that they expect their opponents to put the ball out every time one of their players lies on the turf.
You would never get a game finished with the amount of diving these Arsenal players do.
Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool
74. Martinelli is brought off for Trossard.
We are into the final quarter of the game now.
All the pressure is on Jurgen Klopp's side.
View from SunSport's Jordan Davies at The Emirates
This blog post was looking a whole lot different until Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson combined for a comedy of errors that rivals that of William Saliba’s in the first half.
Liverpool started the half on top and arguably should have grabbed the lead with a few decent chances as Arsenal’s heads were still spinning from their first half injury time own goal.
But the Gunners weathered the storm and have now pounced on a mistake at Liverpool’s end, one that was completely against the run of play.
Like Saliba tried, Van Dijk blocked off Gabriel Martinelli from a long ball over the top as Alisson came storming out, but missed his clearance, letting Martinelli tap into an empty net.
Who would have thought, a game of this magnitude would chop and change because of two woeful errors from the two best centre backs in the world right now.
As it stands, Mikel Arteta’s men are two points off leaders Liverpool, but you would not rule out another twist in this Premier League beauty of a match.
Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool
72. Liverpool are knocking the ball around trying to find a gap in this Arsenal defence.
The problem for the visitors now is that The Gunners have something to defend, their lead.
Victory for Arteta's men today would cut the gap between the team to two points.
Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool
70. Jurgen Klopp's side need to do something to find a way into this game once again.
They were looking comfortable until that 'circus act' moment.
Rarely do Van Dijk and Alisson look like clowns, but they did there.
Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool
68. That is probably one of the most bizarre goals of the season.
Van Dijk looks to shepherd the ball back to Alisson, who comes out to clear it, jumps in the air and misses it.
It leaves the Arsenal winger with an empty goal to slide the ball into.
Goal - Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal)
Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
66. Saliba is almost caught by Jota.
The defender manages to get the ball back to Raya.
Close call for The Gunners' centre back there.
