FOOTBALL fans were left stunned after they heard a surprising comment from Manchester United's in-house commentary team regarding Kurt Zouma.
Following Man Utd's 3-0 win over West Ham on Sunday, an MUTV commentator went viral for a remark after a clash between Zouma and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
Zouma, 29, clattered into Areola as he made a sliding challenge to clear the ball and hit his team-mate's head with his shoulder.
After a replay was shown and Areola was back on his feet, the MUTV commentator said: "Yeah he can be physical Zouma.
"Just ask his cat."
The remark came in reference to a video exclusively obtained by The Sun from February 2022 which showed Zouma kicking and slapping his cat while being filmed by his brother, Yoan.

Zouma appeared in court three months later and admitted two charges under the Animal Welfare Act.
He was slapped with a 12-month community order with 180 hours of unpaid work, while his brother was also handed a 12-month community order and ordered to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work.
West Ham also fined Zouma £250,000 for the incident.
It has not been forgotten by fans either, with many mocking the Frenchman with cat inflatables since then.

The MUTV commentator's remark is the latest to highlight the incident.
It is not the first time MUTV commentators have gone viral having previously mocked Kai Havertz during the Red Devils' 2-0 win over Arsenal in pre-season.
Zouma played the full duration of the defeat at Old Trafford.
He has played 19 times in the Premier League this season, scoring once.
